life imitates art

We've had a new addition to our eclectic art collection in the form of this arresting sculpture by Graham Fletcher. The piece is called Elephant (a reference to those awful footstools made from elephant feet collected by trophy hunters). The sculpture has taken up position (upside down, as stipulated by the artist) alongside Graham's equally arresting painting from his Lounge Room Tribalism series.

The further addition of a vintage light-fitting found in a Warkworth op-shop recently means that our lounge really is starting to resemble Graham's painting. Spooky...
