Autumn Felting




At last the weather has cooled enough to start felting again! With a new box of dyed Corriedale wool roving (below), I set to work making striped pieces of felt. I've settled on a simple bag design, large enough to carry a phone, sunglasses, purse, make-up bag and notebook. With robust wooden handles and a linen lining, the bag is sturdy enough for everyday use and I'm really happy with the result. 

I've styled the front and back views of the bag with three of my favourite striped things: a small painting from the mid-90s by Graham Fletcher, and vases by Richard Parker and Andrew van der Putten.
