bags for books

With birthdays coming up, and Christmas just around the corner, I've set aside some pieces of fabric and a selection of vintage buttons, and made a start on sewing more book bags. It's a very nice way to wrap a book, or a couple of lined notebooks for that matter. The bag decorated with birds is made from a piece of upholstery fabric and the other one is made from the sleeve of a silk kimono.
